Cox Auto’s COVID-19 Response

As Melbourne braces for a new wave of COVID-19 restrictions, Cox Auto are committed to ensuring the safety of our staff and customers. As part of our COVID Safe Plan, no customers will be permitted to enter the premises and physical interaction will be limited. As such, we have made some adjustments to our drop off and pick up procedures:

Drop Offs

We ask that all customers park out the front of the building and call us on 03 9699 6338 when they have arrived. When you call, the advisor will go over your personal details and the work that the vehicle has come in for. We ask that you leave your keys in the vehicle. Please wait to be greeted by a member of our staff who will soon commence the disinfection of the vehicle (wiping down doorhandles, steering wheel, and buttons with disinfectant) and move the car into our workshop.

Customers that have booked out a loan vehicle will be contacted the day before their appointment. A copy of the loan car agreement will be sent via email. This needs to be signed and emailed back through, along with a copy of your valid driver’s license. Unfortunately we cannot provide the loan car if we haven’t received these documents the day of the appointment. If you decide to pay the loan car excess reduction of $49, this has to be done over the phone.

Pick Ups

Payment before pickup needs to be made either over the phone or via direct bank transfer. Please keep in mind that direct transfer may not be immediate and we cannot release the vehicle until the payment has been approved on our end.

A firm pick-up time is requested. This helps us with having your vehicle sanitised and waiting in the driveway for you to drive away with minimal contact from staff members.

 

Contactless service option

Cox Auto is committed to ensuring that the health and wellbeing of our customers and staff is our first priority. In effort to minimise the potential risks of COVID-19 in the local community Cox Auto are offering a contactless service option for all customers, upon request.
1. For clients who wish to utilise contactless service, we can collect your car from your home or workplace free of charge.
2. We will ensure all staff working on your vehicle are wearing gloves whilst the car is under our care.
3. We will clean, disinfect and return the car to your home or work.
4. We will arrange payment via direct deposit or phone payments to avoid any unnecessary contact.
5. You will still have the option of having a loan vehicle should you need to move about throughout the day. Currently all loan cars are rigorously cleaned and disinfected between customers.

Contactless payment

When arranging pick up of your vehicle we will request payment over the phone or bank transfer. Any questions or your concerns regarding your vehicle will be discussed during this conversation. We will also request a firm pick up time so we can have your car disinfected and parked ready for your departure.
